Google has made a noteworthy improvement to their automated systems that detect search spam. This is the first search spam update since October 2022 (there was a link spam update in December 2022, which specifically seeks out spammy links in order to neutralize any potential benefit).

This spam update helps constantly-running spam-prevention systems such as SpamBrain better at identifying spam. It applies globally and improves coverage across many languages, including Turkish, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Hindi, Chinese, and others. Google expects this update to reduce visible spam in search results, including cloaking, hacked, auto-generated and scraped spam. It could take a few weeks to roll out.
