Get AXO services from Momentic

Agent Experience Optimization. Helps agents take action on your site through cleaner structures, agent-friendly content formats, and task-specific definitions.

What AXO is and what it isn't

What AXO is: the practice of optimizing for agent task completion — making your website, content, and APIs legible and actionable for autonomous and semi-autonomous agents.

What it isn't: a checklist. Agents have different goals, different constraints, and different failure modes. Your website purpose and brand is also unique. Optimizing for AI agents is its own discipline, separate from optimizing for crawlers or generative answer engines.

How Momentic approaches AXO

We map the tasks agents are likely to attempt on your site - price checks, comparisons, transactions, data extraction. We test how well current agents complete them.

Then we work on the structures that improve completion: cleaner content formats, task-specific definitions, schema and data exposure, agent-friendly navigation, and the boundaries that keep agent behavior aligned with your business. We test in Momentic Studio against real agent runs, not theoretical ones.

What AXO work typically looks like with Momentic

  • Agent task audits - where agents succeed, fail, or hallucinate on your site
  • Structured content and schema for agent-readable formats
  • Agent-friendly information architecture and navigation
  • Policies for when to allow, redirect, or block agent traffic
  • Ongoing testing as new agents and protocols emerge

Best fit: brands where agents are already touching the site, or where buyers will likely use agents to research, compare, or transact.

How we work.

If the old playbook stopped making sense, that’s good. It means you’re paying attention. Search is messier now. Measurement is messier now. Let’s talk through what’s working, what feels off, and where search, AI, or the website itself may be a factor.

Intro call
01

When you reach out, we schedule the first call within 24 hours. The call is where we learn about the brand, what you're trying to grow, and what's gotten in the way so far. No pitch deck, no canned discovery questions.

Proposal
02

We take what we learned and put together a discovery plan with a fixed scope, plus an estimate of what ongoing engagement looks like once discovery is done. Every engagement starts with discovery because we don't guess at the work before we've seen the ground.

Kickoff
03

Once the agreement is signed, we move fast. We schedule the kickoff call, request access to your analytics and search platforms, and send over a discovery brief so the team can start digging in.

Discover + Plan
04
Most times it looks like this:

Map the Influenceable Web for your category. Pull every model, every surface, every competitor. Rank the four AI search outcomes per prompt. Identify  leakage and mis-description at the query level. Build the distribution, content, citation, and technical plans to complete in the next 6-12 months.

01
Should I let agents on my site at all?
